The Plains Internship Program is one of the industry’s top formal training programs, providing post-secondary students with an opportunity to learn and develop the skills they need to pursue long, successful careers in the energy industry. We are seeking highly motivated students that are working toward a bachelor's degree in a related field and possess solid academic credentials along with significant extracurricular involvement.
Strong written and verbal communications skills are key to our business as well as having strong attention to detail. Students must demonstrate effective planning and organizational skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and a strong desire to learn more about the North American oil and gas business.
The Plains Internship Program is primarily focused in the Houston and Calgary corporate offices. In Houston, the program is a structured 10–16-week program starting in May and ending in August. In Calgary, internships are structured in 4, 8 and 12-month cycles and are offered year-round.
