Brief Description

With minimal guidance, fabricate steel and other metal parts according to blueprints and technical drawings, repair metal structures and parts as necessary using a variety of welding & fabricating techniques (Mig, tig, Arc. Brazing, Shear, Brake, Saw, grinder). Also perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of a routine scope and nature such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, with emphasis on equipment & machinery repairs. This includes but not limited to:

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including Headers, Thread-roll machines, and Centerless Grinders
• Installation and repair of plant electrical system and components, including 120 volt and 480, 220, 3 phase
• Install, repair, compressed air systems, hydraulics, pumps, electrical control systems and pneumatic controls
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install large mechanical and electro-mechanical manufacturing production equipment
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on critical manufacturing equipment to increase longevity and reduce downtime
• Train Tech I personnel as needed to develop and prepare them for the Tech II position
• Review, update, and close tasks in CMMS program to accurately reflect and communicate equipment status
• Participate in skill building training sessions

Qualification:

• High School or equivalent

• 3+ years related experience preferred, Fastener Industry experience a plus
