Overview

Comcast Spectacor oversees the Wells Fargo Center and its major transformation project, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, the Maine Mariners hockey team, the Flyers Training Center, the Seoul Infernos OWL team, and Spectacor Events and Entertainment, a growing live events business that has already brought successful, new events to the Philadelphia area. Comcast Spectacor is headquartered at the Wells Fargo Center (WFC) in Philadelphia, PA. The WFC, the 4th most highly attended arena nationally and 7th most attended in the world is home to 270+ events per year, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, Villanova, concerts, and events. Comcast Spectacor is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast and maintains connected and disconnected networks within the Wells Fargo Center.

Job Summary

The Corporate Partnership intern will work to help execute existing partnerships and develop new advertising sales products. They will be responsible for researching advertising sponsorships across other NHL and professional sports teams, building proposals for potential partners and recapping partnerships from the previous season. Candidates must be able to work with other departments to develop new ideas and concepts that fit the needs of our advertising partners.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Providing recaps for current partners of all Flyers activation
  • Developing new products from existing Flyers assets and programs
  • Scheduling all partner related email content with the appropriate departments
  • Working closely with the activation team to plan future sponsor related Flyers activation
  • Assist with department administrative functions as necessary

Requirements:

  • Only college students (juniors, seniors and Graduate) eligible to receive course credit will be considered.
  • Background in marketing, sales or sponsorship activation preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and exceptional organizational skills
  • Deadline-driven with a strong sense of priority and follow-through
  • Copywriting and editing skills are a plus.
  • Regular, Consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
