"We make magic"! The Disney Consumer Products (DCP) team is responsible for creating, developing, and bringing to life Disney merchandise across Disney Parks, Disney Stores, shopDisney, and licensed products sold all across the world.
As the DCP Merchandise Buying Coordinator, you will support categories or entire teams, assist with the strategy plan, and coordinate the timeline and work flow across their assigned areas to drive a quarterly product strategy, product line strategy, and assortment curation for distribution. A successful candidate exhibits strong organization, proof reading, prioritization and communication skills as well as a proficiency in all merchandise systems and processes. This position will report to the Merchandise Buying Manager.
Lead the day to day activities in maintaining assortment by category across brands and assist in curating an authentic assortment that meets the financial goals for all channels of distribution
Attend cross functional team meetings to assist with the input/output of communication
Provide support for key achievement meetings with the development of presentation decks, briefs, recaps, and assembling input from key partners
Develop effective partnerships across The Walt Disney Company
Track Purchase Order progress from shipping to arrival on Disney property
Work in close partnership with vendors, Product Integrity, all logistical Operations, onboarding, pricing, international trade finance, and other international logistics
Assist suppliers with all aspects of navigating business with Disney
Written and verbal communication with specific suppliers and a variety of Disney partners
Item setups ensuring accuracy of information
Assist the Merchandise Buying Manager in building product strategies that are designed for a fully immersive space through well-executed activations that maximize capture within the attraction while building equity and desire for future interaction with products in our unique specialty retail environment
Assist in handling category/collection/item level product strategy that supports the immersive experiences
Schedule and coordination of fragrance representative calendars and other processes
Assist with various merchandising team projects as required
Experience in product merchandising, specialty retail & product assortment strategy desired
Proven passion for brand retail, including consumer and product trends
Collaboration skills, ability to establish relationships and with internal and external partners
Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple projects
Strategic problem solver with the ability to drive execution against a plan
High level attention to detail, proofreading skills, proactive, with strong follow through skills

Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and other technologies, including Google Docs, SharePoint, and Product Life Management (PLM)
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
