Description

Join the Interventional Radiology Translational Research Laboratory as a Student Worker.

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, you'll:

  • 3D Printing: Create 3D-printed silicone vascular models.
  • Laboratory Tasks: Perform H&E staining, MSB staining, tissue sectioning, and cell cultures.
  • Lab Maintenance: Replenish supplies, clean glassware and medical devices, make buffers/solutions, and maintain general lab organization.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle research-related administrative tasks as needed.


The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate UCLA student.

Note- there are 3 openings for this position.

Salary: $17.60 - $29 per hour

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong interest in the laboratory sciences.
  • Ability to use computer software for word processing and data entry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction to communicate diplomatically and effectively with faculty, peers, patients, physicians, collaborators, researchers, administrators, and University faculty and staff.
  • Ability to function as a team member and with guidance from appropriate departmental administration. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and skill in setting priorities to meet rigorous deadlines and adapting to changes
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, initiate and work independently to address responsibilities; must have strong time management skills and ability to independently prioritize tasks and re-prioritize work based on knowledge of research objectives.
