Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for an Associate Engineer to join our innovative Connected Communities group! As a remote employee supporting our East Coast and regional projects, you'll expand your expertise in transportation engineering with the mentorship of our world-class team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Estimating, quantity calculations, technical reports, plan details, and detailed engineering analyses

  • Electrical, communications, and/or systems design

  • Interface with CAD designers, other engineers and clients

  • Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable

  • Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs

  • Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials

  • Review small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses

  • Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents

  • Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field)

  • 0 to 2 years or more of related work experience

  • Any relevant experience or previous internship work is desirable

  • Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Excel

  • Basic process engineering knowledge

  • Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
