Join our Carbon Brake team at Collins Aerospace in Santa Fe Springs, California, as an Entry Level Furnace Deck Operator. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in operating support equipment, ensuring process integrity, and maintaining high-quality standards across all furnace operations. Safety, efficiency, and attention to detail are paramount in this dynamic environment.
What You Will Do:
Operate a range of support equipment including Overhead Cranes, Forklifts, Vacuums, Scissor Lifts, and Power Tools.
Conduct furnace readings, rounds, and oversee process flow to maintain optimal operation
Uphold process integrity and ensure quality standards are met throughout all furnace operations
Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations and proactively identify and address safety hazards
Perform equipment preventative maintenance as directed and promptly report any mechanical or safety concerns to supervisors
Follow standard operating procedures to uphold safety protocols and ensure product quality
Utilize basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring.
Acquire knowledge of Collins and customer specifications, finished products, and relevant policies
Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have: Education & Experience:
HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, and typically 2 years of relevant experience is required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Qualifications We Prefer:
Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
Basic computer skills are desirable
Prior experience with forklift and overhead crane is advantageous
