The Field Technician is responsible for operational, mechanical, and instrumentelectrical functions, such as inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. This work includes such activities as supervising/directing field crews, maintaining pipelines in compliance with contracts, regulations, and safety considerations, coordinating with on-site contractors, and ensuring cost effective and safe operations. Employee(s) in this position may have some environmental or safety activities associated with their responsibilities.

Responsibilities May Include:
- Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory), operation of liquid handling systems, and operation of dehydration systems.
- Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.
- Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operating gas compression equipment
- Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment.
- Performing planned maintenance checks and calibration and timely submits appropriate reports.
- Reading and understanding P&ID's
- Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, exposures.
- Maintains One-Call - Pipeline Locating, encroachment, excavation & crossing.
- Maintains records in accordance with Pipeline regulatory requirements.
- Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer)
- Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.
- Performs maintenance and repair of and fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.
- Conducts routine inspection, such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, etc.
- Operate PLC, HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves and actuators.
- Maintain and repair motor control equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 or more years of oil and gas operations experience
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Willing and able to with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds.
- Regularly stoops, squats, kneels, and crouches for durations up to 30 minutes.
- Works extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- This position is a M-F schedule, with a on-call schedule
- Works safely near large, hot, high-speed machines.
- Work inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
- Work in loud environment
- Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant.
- Occasionally may climb A-frame ladders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Tech school program
- Work experience in Pipeline maintenance or operation and natural gas compression.
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley Control/Compact Logic system
- Knowledge of VFD drives
- Trouble shooting electrical problems on 480Vac 3 phase systems.
- Reading manufacturer specifications or blueprints to assemble or disassemble complex systems.
- Repairing and installing instrumentation and electrical equipment
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
