Position Summary:

The Data Entry Technician performs data entry and verification for the AFLP Program. Duties include monitoring records and reports; checking and reviewing data for completion in accordance with established regulations and procedures, compiling information for records and reports and gathering data used for statistical reports

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enters, maintains, and updates program and client data with timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
  • Issues computer generated reports on schedule or as otherwise required.
  • Monitors database for data quality and corrects inconsistencies.
  • Works with management and other agencies to resolve data discrepancies and to troubleshoot problems.
  • Copies, logs, sorts, emails and files documents pertaining primarily to computer operations.
  • Attends program and agency meetings and trainings as required in South Los Angeles and Panorama City as needed.
  • May act as office receptionist, greeting visitors, offering refreshment when appropriate, and informing staff members of visitor’s arrivals; schedules, confirms and cancels appointments for others; maintains a tidy reception area.
  • Create documents and forms.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Program Director.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, AA or certificate of completion in a secretarial field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of data entry experience.
  • Working knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment, office organization skills to ensure smooth running of office.
  • Typing speed sufficient to meet minimum production (i.e., 50 wpm).
  • Positive, friendly manner to represent El Nido when answering the telephone and acting as receptionist.
  • Accurate, basic math skills to calculate and maintain routine numerical records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Bilingual Proficient (English/Spanish), when required by specific work assignment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.05 per hour
