Overview

The Account Specialist is an entry level position responsible for assisting with processing moderately complex customer inquiries in coordination with the Customer Service function. The overall objective is to minimize any potential operating loss, by providing the best solutions to client inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and select the best answer to customer inquiries based on past practices and precedence
  • Interpret, manage, and resolve full service written inquiries, through fact-based research and information gathering
  • Partner with new team members and provide guidance all aspects of responding to service inquiries
  • Provide assistance on the delivery of an expansive array of products and services under limited supervision
  • Complete assigned tasks in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ work experience in a related role
  • Ability to calculate percentages, finance charges, and required account adjustments
  • Efficient technical and data entry skills, including utilizing a 10-key touchpad
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills


Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
