Overview

Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. Position Summary

Position will perform FERC reporting responsibilities, as well as create and analyze fixed assets accounting functions, processes and reporting related to Oracle Fixed Assets and Oracle Project Costing modules for Plains All American Pipeline, L.P.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Manager of Project Accounting and Fixed Assets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly FERC PP&E filings and all supporting schedules

  • Review Capital projects at project setup and at the time assets are placed into service to ensure compliance with the Capital Policy

  • Various transactional processes and module interfaces

  • Journal entry and miscellaneous transaction preparation

  • Preparation and analysis of month-end results and account reconciliations

  • Various fixed assets and capital projects ad-hoc reporting

  • Research, investigate and resolve fixed assets and capital projects issues

  • Participate in the testing of Oracle system upgrades/enhancements, especially around the Fixed Assets and Project Costing modules

  • Accounting liaison for project-related requests from operations and field personnel

  • Provide support for tax, FERC and other regulatory reporting

  • Provide support for financial reporting and internal/external auditors

  • Project exception report analysis and resolution

  • Process improvement initiatives and special projects as they occur

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Accounting degree

  • 4+ years of accounting experience

  • Either FERC accounting/reporting experience or public accounting experience required

  • CPA license a plus

  • Proficient with MS Office products including advanced Excel skills

  • Oracle R12 experience preferred, especially the following modules:  FA, PA, GL

  • Midstream oil and gas experience preferred
