The Cards and ARP Support team provides development and support of mainframe applications across the UMB footprint. The team is also responsible for supporting cards affiliated distributed applications.
As a Sr. Mainframe Developer, you will be providing development support and enhancements for mainframe applications. You will work closely with the development and support teams to help design and build enterprise-level solutions. You will look for ways to assist in improving development efficiency and implementing those best practices. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which involves other multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership.
This role is hybrid (Tue & Wed on-site) for candidates in the Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of the Kansas City area but only within the US.
How you’ll spend your time:
- Work closely with application and infrastructure teams, vendors, and various business units to identify solutions to enhance Cards application, remediate issues and fix production defects.
- Provide production support of highly complex applications in production by troubleshooting issues, proposing solutions, developing, testing fixes, and implementing solutions.
- Provide on-call support to the application on a rotational basis.
We’re excited to talk with you if:
- You have at least 7 years of relevant work experience developing and supporting mainframe applications.
- You have knowledge of TSYS TS2 Cards platform.
- You have in-depth experience in COBOL and a technical background that includes CICS, VSAM, JCL, TSO, RDS, ChangeMan, Zeke, and related utilities.
- You have intermediate knowledge of SQL.
- You have basic understanding of Cloud computing architecture.
Bonus Points If:
- You have understanding of API architecture.
- You are familiar with AWS, Kafka, Splunk etc.
