Habitat Magazine is published 11 times a year. We are looking for an experienced freelance Copy Editor/Proofreader to join our editorial team to copy edit and proofread each print issue before publication.
We are a small but mighty team in New York City. Habitat Magazine has been published since 1982 and is still under the leadership of the founder.
Responsibilities
*We follow AP Style so you must be comfortable and familiar with this.
* You will work in InCopy, so must be familiar and comfortable with this platform.
* We are fully remote, and use RingCentral to collaborate.
* The copyediting schedule follows monthly publishing dates. The magazine averages 64 pages.
* The average amount of copyediting time per issue is between 7 and 9 hours. (we published 11 times a year). You can set your schedule, but will need to be responsive to production needs.
