About the Role:

As a Control Systems Technician, you will focus on troubleshooting and maintaining MHE equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, label printing systems, scales, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, and control cabinets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety protocols
  • Maintain material handling control systems, motor control systems, servo and frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems
  • Monitor MHE metrics and collaborate with control technicians and Mechanics to resolve electrical issues causing performance deficiencies
  • Use System Assessment reports to improve MHE reliability through preventive maintenance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Escalate to operations and network support teams as needed to minimize downtime
  • Communicate technical issues to RME and Amazon Operations leadership
  • Lift to 49 lbs and stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours, with reasonable accommodations available

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/programming or apprenticeship
  • 2+ years of experience with motor controls, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components
  • 2+ years of experience repairing control network components
  • 1+ year of experience with HMI components and PLC programming
  • 1+ year of hands-on industrial electrical experience
  • Experience with a variety of conveyor and sortation systems
  • Project management experience and ability to train others
  • Experience with robotics maintenance
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley RS Logix PLC and PLC components
  • Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs
