We are seeking a skilled and certified Apprentice Electrician to join our team, specializing in commercial electrical projects throughout California. The ideal candidate will have a valid California ET Card and experience in site-to-site commercial work, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems. This role involves travel to various project sites, working both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality electrical installations that comply with safety standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Installation & Maintenance:
    • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, lighting, circuit breakers, and control panels in commercial buildings.
    • Interpret and work from blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics to complete project specifications.
  2. Troubleshooting & Repairs:
    • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
    • Replace defective components and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
  3. Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
    • Conduct regular safety checks on tools, equipment, and installations to prevent accidents.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  4. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work with project managers, contractors, and other trades to meet project deadlines and coordinate work schedules.
    • Provide clear updates on progress, issues, and completion timelines to supervisors or clients.
  5. Travel to Job Sites:
    • Travel between job sites across California as required for projects, with some flexibility for longer-term assignments.
  6. Testing & Quality Assurance:
    • Perform inspections and tests of completed electrical systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
    • Document work completed and address any deficiencies or required adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Valid California ET Card (required).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
  • Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
    • Familiarity with commercial electrical systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
