Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Math tutor to provide personalized instruction to students preparing for IGCSE and IB Math exams. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical background, a passion for teaching, and a proven ability to help students excel academically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver customized one-on-one and small group lessons tailored to the IGCSE and IB Math syllabi (Standard and Higher Levels).
- Help students develop a deep understanding of key mathematical concepts, including algebra, calculus, geometry, and statistics.
- Provide guidance and support for IB Internal Assessments and other coursework requirements.
- Assist students in mastering problem-solving techniques and effective exam strategies.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to address areas of improvement.
- Utilize a variety of teaching tools and methods to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest curriculum changes and examination requirements for IGCSE and IB Math.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Teaching certification or equivalent qualification (e.g., PGCE) is preferred.
- At least 3-4 years of experience teaching IGCSE and IB Math, with demonstrated success in improving student outcomes.
- Familiarity with international school environments and the academic expectations of IGCSE and IB programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to motivate students.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience guiding students through IB Math Internal Assessments.
- Proficiency in using technology for online and in-person tutoring sessions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
